@rUsHnUt whatever works best for filtering purposes, option 3 is probably too long of a string to properly display in the author field, so then search what the author is best known as
I haven't come across it many times ( on a couple of ported dod maps ) but so far I picked option 3. Your answer indeed makes sense to better stick with what's most known/used for any other stuff this person has made so far. Technically you can use method 3 for all authors since everybody has a first and last name but it's not the most used method.
Normally I always aim towards the most complete answer/info but for this I'll just stick to "when I see a nickname I'll pick that above anything more being provided".
I'm trying to change the registrar for 17buddies.rocks domain. It may not work . Don't panic if you can't connect. 17buddies.net will be untouched for now (in case I do something wrong with .rocks)
@rushnut for username, I prefer the both format personally.
@Fixxor yeh there was a site exploit which someone abused and nuked the section; the files got delisted and were floating around but a few got permanently lost
@Blackcock: It seems somebody beat me to it cause when I looked the wad was already included.
@ParaBolt: I have to pick a middle ground that suits the widest amount of users. In this case "less is more" is something that fits the criteria the best in my opinion.
@Arkshine: Am I blind or can I not see a button to add files to an existing archive? All I can see is ViewZipContent ( yellow bar ) but there I can only delete stuff.
@rUsHnUt, yeh got your point, I don't know how 17B search works but I also prefer the full author name for that reason that a map becomes searchable by all of the words within the author field
I installed a new forum (Discourse). It's basic without customizations for now, but it will be easier to talk. The users are not imported. It takes time, but you can register again. If possible, use the same email/username, it will be easier for me.
if any file is lost, i can upload here or, if you want, i can upload all of the zip files and its images ~300gb but, may not be suitable for this site, admin may be offended. So need the permission.
